Founded 24 years ago, UCIMA is the leading organization representing the Italian Manufacturers of Packaging Machinery.

Italy is one of the world’s main producers of machinery and systems for the packaging of a variety of goods serving all the user industries: food & beverage, confectionery, tobacco, pharmaceutical, chemical, petrochemical, cosmetics and tissue. 20% of the worldwide turnover is achieved by the Italian companies and, just considering the sales on foreign markets, one machine out of three is "made in Italy".

UCIMA has an associative base of about 100 companies (which represent 65% of the overall Italian production and 80% of the Italian exports) and provides targeted information, advisory and support services designed to help members run their day-to-day activities and keep abreast of the main issues of interest to the sector. The USA market represents the top export market for Italian Packaging Machinery Manufacturers.
